Despite an 11% year-over-year increase in California, which hosted Super Bowl LX, worldwide private jet flight activity was flat.
In Week 6 of 2026, private jets around the world recorded over 67,500 total departures.
This was a slight increase compared to last week.
During week 5 of 2026, private jets recorded their second consecutive week of decline compared with the previous year.
Even so, private jet flight activity has failed to gain much traction so far this year.
Compared to the same week last year, private jet activity remained relatively flat.
So, it has now been three straight weeks since a year-over-year weekly increase.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
According to WingX, private jets around the world recorded a total of 67,551 departures last week.
This remains relatively flat compared to week 6 of 2025.
However, private jet activity is beginning to increase.
Compared with last week, global private jet flights increased by approximately 3%, indicating week-over-week growth in the industry.
Prior to this week, private jet flight activity had recorded back-to-back decreases in year-over-year departures. This was the first back-to-back weekly decline in over a year.
On a rolling four-week basis, private jet flight activity has remained relatively flat despite the recent downturn.
According to WingX, over the past four weeks, private jets recorded more than 266,000 departures.
In week 6 of 2026, North America continued to lead in private jet flight activity.
Specifically, the United States totaled 46,603 private jet flights. This is a slight decrease relative to the same period last year, representing a 1% decrease.
However, compared to last week, this was about 6% more flights.
Major private jet markets in California and Texas recorded large week-over-week surges.
However, the only major market to record a year-over-year increase was California, which saw 11% more flights than in week 6 of 2025.

Several major markets in Europe struggled in terms of week-over-week growth. The UK, Germany, France, and Switzerland each posted week-over-week drops.
However, compared to last year, many of these markets saw significant increases. This includes Switzerland and Italy, which each recorded double-digit year-over-year increases.
The rest of the world saw more consistent growth.
The Middle East recognized an 8% year-over-year jump and built on its recent success this year with a 7% week-over-week gain.
Asia and South America each recorded 5% week-over-week increases in private jet flight activity. However, South America has continued to shine in the private aviation industry, posting a 28% year-over-year increase.

The fractional and charter industry saw a slight decline in total flights over the past week.
Overall, Part 91K and Part 135 operations saw a 2% year-over-year drop, although flight activity remained relatively flat compared to its success last week.
The US recorded just over 25,000 total Part 91K and Part 135 flights, representing a slight drop of 1% compared to week 6 of 2025.
Florida was the only major market to see a decline, while both California and Texas saw increases in fractional and charter flights.
European fractional and charter operations took a large step back after a successful beginning to the year. The region saw a 4% year-over-year decrease.
This was largely due to double-digit decreases in Part 91K and Part 135 operations by the UK and France.
The Middle East also struggled to gain traction, recording fewer than 700 flights, which represents a 1% year-over-year decline.
Africa and South America are relatively small markets for charter and fractional operations, yet each saw double-digit decreases compared to week 6 of 2025.
